City Council approved a priority hire program through a Community Workforce Agreement for the 34th Avenue South Phase 2 project, which included a grant from King County.
Crews pick up 23,775 pounds of litter from highway on and off-ramps
City crews have spent nearly 670 hours picking up 1,585 bags of litter from exits and entrances to/from I-5. Other collection areas included ramps from SR 518 to SR 99 and the exit and entrance from SR 509 to/from South 188th Street.
WSDOT announces new dates for 24th Avenue overpass closure, set to begin in August
This work will repair structural damage, which occurred when a truck hit the overpass while traveling on SR 518. The detour to avoid this closure will take drivers along city streets.
