SeaTac police assist KCSO with 2-year investigation into organized crime
The investigation began in January 2021 after a complaint was lodged by a community member about a massage parlor in Burien. The verbal complaint alleged concerns of prostitution, and other suspicious behavior, occurring at the business. Detectives looked into the concerns and their investigation led them to nine different businesses spanning four different counties – Benton, King, Snohomish and Skagit.

City Council approves amendment to SeaTac’s fireworks ordinance allowing for some commercial fireworks
Some consumer commercial fireworks are still banned including: aerial, airborne, discharges, launches and explosive fireworks. Firecrackers, sky rockets, missiles and bottle rockets are only legal to purchase, possess and discharge at Native American reservations.
SeaTac Police provide first quarter crime statistics to City Council
The first quarter includes the months of January, February and March. There were 116 crimes against people in the first quarter. Crimes against people includes instances of human trafficking and kidnapping.
