This closure is expected to last for five days and will extend outside of normal construction hours. Local access to residents living along that stretch of roadway will be maintained. 

Construction will begin on the 2.2-mile segment of the Lake to Sound Trail on May 4 with the permanent closure of a segment of 18th Avenue South and South 196th Street in SeaTac to vehicular traffic.

City Council approved a $75,000 fleet electrification study Tuesday night, which will provide a comprehensive assessment of electric vehicle needs for the City as well as a roadmap to facilitate converting its current and future fleet to electric vehicles. 

City Council adopted a local road safety plan (LRSP) Tuesday night. The plan provides a basis for systemic safety improvements along our roadway network.

A grant for $600,000 from the Washington Transportation Improvement Board will help fund the River Ridge Elementary project and the 34th Avenue South project.

The City of SeaTac is currently working on an estimated 20 to 30 utility wraps for this year as part of a project that was approved by City Council last year.

It’s been nearly seven months since the city’s last recycling event and we are happy to announce our Spring recycling event will be on May 7 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

In March our crews spent nearly 143 hours picking up litter from state and city right of way, collecting 610 bags. Adopt-A-Street volunteers have also been busy picking up litter, collecting 9 bags last month.
