Amazon plastic envelope packaging is a soft plastic and cannot be recycled. Paper mailers lined with plastic and metal hangers are not recyclable. Thermal paper receipts, which are shiny and feel like plastic, are not recyclable. Candy wrappers must be thrown in the garbage.

Composting is the natural process of recycling organic matter into a valuable fertilizer that can enrich soil and plants. Anything that grows decomposes eventually and composting speeds up the process by providing an ideal environment for bacteria, fungi, and other organisms to do their work.

SeaTac maintenance crews sharpened their snowplowing skills today preparing for winter weather. SeaTac crews pick up 175 bags of litter in September
SeaTac crews have been going out twice a month to specifically pick up litter near highway on and off-ramps. In September, crews have spent 67 hours cleaning up these areas.
Lane closure coming to 35th Avenue South Sunday
One lane of traffic will be closed Sunday at 35th Avenue South, just east of the Military Road and 216th Street intersection.
Community encouraged to adopt local drains to help keep local waterways pollutant free
Participating cities in Washington include Seattle, Burien and of course, SeaTac. The state’s The Adopt-A-Drain program launched a year ago thanks to the Washington Stormwater Center.

The 2023 Overlay Project is a grind and overlay of over one mile of asphalt pavement along the South 154th Street / South 156th Way corridor between Des Moines Memorial Drive and 24th Avenue South.
SeaTac City Council approves amendment to agreement with Burien for the Miller Creek project
The estimated total construction costs have increased since the 2019 estimate of $3.22 million and to $4.8 million. The estimate for the SeaTac segment of the project increased City’s share from $985,000 to $1.76 million.
