In May 2021, former Councilmember Clyde Hill submitted a Council Request Form to change the name of Des Moines Creek Park to add SeaTac to the name after plans to add amenities to the park were put in motion.

For the past year, the City of SeaTac has been in discussions with the Port of Seattle regarding the future uses of North SeaTac Park.
Traffic will be switching to the new SR 99 bridge on Aug. 1, more than a year after a temporary bypass was created by Sound Transit.
In the 2022 August Primary, King County will see 163 candidates vying for 52 offices, as well as six ballot measures.
The funding is allocated to activities/projects that promote tourism to generate travel and emphasize overnight hotel guests in the City of SeaTac. Funding is awarded annually by the SeaTac City Council based on the recommendations of the Hotel Motel Advisory Committee.
