SR 509 construction continues this summer, view progress online
Currently, WSDOT is working on building the first mile of the new SR 509 Expressway and new I-5 ramps. This stage of construction is expected to be completed in 2025.

SeaTac Council funds efforts to help youth enter construction trades
This week SeaTac City Council unanimously approved $115,200 for SeaTac students attending the pre-apprenticeship and apprenticeship programs for the construction trades. Completed utility wraps along Des Moines Memorial Drive honor WWI soldiers
The Des Moines Memorial Drive Preservation Association partnered with the cities of Burien, Des Moines, and SeaTac to install signal box wraps at fourteen major intersections along Des Moines Memorial Drive, a road dedicated to World War I fallen soldiers.
SeaTac Police share April crime stats
In April there were 41 crimes against people. Crimes against people includes instances of human trafficking and kidnapping. There were 143 crimes against property. Crimes against property includes vandalism, burglary and auto thefts.
