Hotel/Motel Tax Advisory Committee makes recommendations for use of funds, takes requests for tourism-related activities
The funding is allocated to activities/projects that promote tourism to generate travel and emphasize overnight hotel guests in the City of SeaTac. Funding is awarded annually by the SeaTac City Council based on the recommendations of the Hotel Motel Advisory Committee.
Puget Sound Fire Weekly Update: Firefighters respond to 1,463 calls in two-week time period
Puget Sound Fire and other WA Fire Careers partner agencies opened their entry-level firefighter registration. The registration closes on Aug. 31, 2022. Puget Sound Fire is recruiting entry-level firefighters for the February 2023 fire academy.
City moving forward on implementing SeaTac’s Housing Work Plan
The Housing Work Plan consists of short-term action items identified in policy documents, programs, or by City Council, related to expanding housing opportunities for residents. The main focus of the current Housing Work Plan is the implementation of the recently adopted SeaTac Housing Action Plan.

The Back to School Resource Fair provides local SeaTac students in need with backpacks, school supplies and resources from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. on a first-come first-served basis. This event is sponsored by the City, Lutheran Community Services and other local groups.
