Crews pick up 23,775 pounds of litter from highway on and off-ramps

City crews have spent nearly 670 hours picking up 1,585 bags of litter from exits and entrances to/from I-5. Other collection areas included ramps from SR 518 to SR 99 and the exit and entrance from SR 509 to/from South 188th Street.

WSDOT announces new dates for 24th Avenue overpass closure, set to begin in August

This work will repair structural damage, which occurred when a truck hit the overpass while traveling on SR 518. The detour to avoid this closure will take drivers along city streets.

SeaTac population is expected to drop to 31,740

SeaTac’s population dropped between 2021 and 2022 and is expected to decrease slightly this year as well. In 2021 the city’s population was 32,000, in 2022 that dropped to 31,910 and this year the city’s population is expected to drop to 31,740.
