This funding is delivered from the American Rescue Plan Act and State and Local Fiscal Relief funds. Programs the city will support were chosen based on feedback provided by SeaTac small businesses during the 2021 Business Synergy Program Outreach survey, along with guidance from SeaTac’s City Council.
SeaTac installs ‘No Parking’ signs near Bow Lake Elementary
The City of SeaTac has installed No Parking Signs last month near Bow Lake Elementary in response to concerns regarding double parking/stopped cars in roadway. These parked cars impacted the ability for people to travel through South 182nd Street and 42nd Avenue South during school pickup times.

Project update: Most of construction work on South 188th Street is complete
This summer’s overlay project encompasses a one mile stretch of South 188th Street from Des Moines Memorial Drive to International Boulevard. This overlay was a fairly substantial undertaking because of its size, unique elements such as the tunnel beneath the runways, a proposed new landscaped median, and the heavy levels of traffic that utilize this vital arterial on a daily basis.

Puget Sound Fire Weekly Update: Firefighters respond to collision involving a pedestrian in SeaTac
During the week of Aug. 29 - Sept. 4, Puget Sound Fire responded to 719 calls for service including a collision on the 18600 block of International Boulevard. The SeaTac collision occurred on Aug. 29 around 11 p.m., a car hit a pedestrian. The pedestrian was transported to the hospital.
