The trucks were ordered in August 2022 to replace six trucks across the maintenance fleet. Five of these vehicles will be used by parks maintenance. Funding was provided in the budget and already allocated to replace trucks that were either damaged or old.

The Stormwater Management Program (SWMP Plan) is updated each year with new things the City is doing and we want your feedback. We accept comments year-round, but comments for the 2024 SWMP Plan must be received by March 1, 2024.
City Council approved design contract change for the South 204th Street Improvements Project
After careful consideration, the Public Works Engineering department proposed an amendment to the design contract to accommodate a few additions to the project scope. These changes include undergrounding existing aerial utilities within the City’s right-of-way and on private properties, constructing a new water main in partnership with Highline Water District and rebuilding the asphalt roadways.

City Council approves agreement with SKHHP to support affordable housing
SKHHP is a voluntary partnership between 11 jurisdictions (10 cities and King County) that work together to address affordable housing challenges in South King County. The 11 jurisdictions each contribute annual operation funding to SKHHP, with the contribution amount based upon the population of each jurisdiction.
SeaTac Community Police Academy applications due Feb. 29
The SeaTac and Burien Police, in partnership with the King County Sheriff’s Office, will bring back its Community Police Academy Thursday nights from March 14 – May 9.
SeaTac police welcome first K9 to team–meet Vuki
Vuki is the city’s first K9 and is a German Shepherd–a breed of dog often used in police work because they are great at tracking, move quickly and adapt well in dangerous situations. King County Sheriff’s Office, which the city contracts with for police services, paid for the dog.
