City Hall maintenance will impact some in-person services
During the next couple of weeks, contractors will be working throughout City Hall to update the aging 44-year-old facility. The public will notice some short-term changes to City Hall service during the construction project.

SeaTac Police presents new crime statistics to City Council
The second quarter of the year includes the months of April, May and June. There were 124 crimes against people and zero homicides during the second quarter. Both of these numbers are lower than what they were at the same time last year.
City Council approves motion to look into building a Civic Campus, which would include a new City Hall
n 2021, architects identified more than $74 million in necessary upgrades for the current City Hall, which is 44 years old. The estimates included recommendations from an earlier safety analysis from the Department of Homeland Security that identified security gaps and risks in the event of an earthquake.
SeaTac’s Community Court begins, including participating partner organizations
Qualifying defendants will have the chance to participate in a new City program–community court– starting Sept. 13. The SeaTac City Council accepted the state’s allocated funds that will support the community court last fall.

The City is now accepting applications from the public for proposed amendments to the SeaTac Comprehensive Plan and the City’s development regulations.
Firefighters respond to two-story house fire in SeaTac
At 11:17 a.m. firefighters were dispatched to a two-story house with a fire on both floors of the home. Firefighters extinguished the fire in approximately 40 minutes.
