King County Council awards two grants to the City to improve park spaces

The City will add lighting for the racing surface and perimeter of the North SeaTac Park BMX track and facility to extend operating hours and host races later into the day. Additionally, to help improve safety and usage, the city will replace 1,660 feet of wood fencing with metal chain link fence at the Grandview Off-Leash Dog Park.

City sets up temporary overflow parking for Valley Ridge Park

Visitors to Valley Ridge are allowed to park at City Hall, 4800 S. 188th St., from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 8:30 a.m. – 11 p.m. Friday through Sunday. The closure of Tyee High School parking lot for the next two years has created a need for overflow parking during heavily attended days at Valley Ridge Park.

The SeaTac Community Center will be open during regular business hours this week and will also serve as a cooling station given the expected high temperatures.
