City Council approved new Adopt-A-Trail program
People volunteering for this program will be able to adopt trails and remove litter, document maintenance needs and report any vandalism. Participants must commit to a quarterly cleanup of a specified area within the trail for two years.

Overnight snowstorm delays City facility openings
SeaTac City Hall, the Community Center and other City facilities will be opening at 10:30 AM today due to inclement weather. Police arrest teenager after hit-and-run, vehicle chase
SeaTac Police responded to a vehicle incident at the Doubletree Hotel on Sunday, Feb. 12 around 1 a.m. It was reported that a driver drove into the hotel’s valet area and hit several people inside at the location on the 18700 block of International Boulevard. The driver fled the scene. People hit sustained minor injuries.
How did SeaTac get its name?
More than 30 years ago, SeaTac became a city. The move occurred after residents decided to break apart from unincorporated King County to seek more robust government representation. Naming the City after the Seattle Tacoma International Airport or Sea-Tac which comprised 42 percent of the City was the obvious choice at the time.

City launches BIG IDEAS poll for the SeaTac City Center, Airport District Plan
The City would like resident and business feedback for the second phase of our City Center/Airport District planning process. The City is currently creating a plan that provides a roadmap for how the City can help the district grow and change over the next 20 years.
